Ready, Set, Roll!
Spring is here and it's time to ramp this adventure up to full speed. What adventure? Um... the adventure of your life. Hello!
Your Stomach is Doing Somersaults
If you get nauseous on rides this metaphor might make you a bit queasy, but then again the idea of pursuing your dreams probably puts your stomach in knots. Knots can be a great sign of growing your comfort zone. What gives you knots? Think about growing yourself.
Make Fear Afraid of You
No, we aren't necessarily recommending you face your fears and go ride the world's tallest roller coaster, Kingda Ka in New Jersey. Unless that's your thing, which would be a super thrilling ride. You don't have to be this kind of thrill seeker. You can be the kind of thrill seeker that pushes yourself out of your comfort zone in ways that are relevant and beneficial to you. As Darren Hardy says in his book, The Entrepreneur Roller Coaster:
"It's the fear of fear you fear. The fear itself hurts more than the thing you are scared of."
What do you fear?
Maybe you fear public speaking or telling your family, friend or significant other how you really feel. The potential ridicule you might get from pursuing your dreams can be scary, but it's not nearly as frightening as a stagnant life.
We Double Dare You
Show others how ballsy you can be and set an example of what can be done. This is particularly important if you have kids. Raise your own expectations of yourself.
