Winter is back and so are we!
The holiday season can be a busy time for everyone and if you aren't intentional about when you say yes, you'll likely find yourself completely burnout out. We like to take each season as a chunk of time and slice it up into what we want to do most and focus our energy and attention on that.
For most people Christmas time means shopping.
Even if you don't consider yourself much of a shopper, the holidays bring out the gift-hunter in all of us. We love designing fun things for our customers and this year we're bringing mugs to our market table. Wrapping your hand around a mug of hot cocoa is a great way to regroup with your family after hitting the local toboggan hill.
See what we did there? We suggested you do your shopping as quick as you can so you can get outside to do something fun and then spend time with those you love most.
You can choose to sweat it or forget it.
Your life is as crazy as you make it. Or at the very least, it's as crazy as you allow it to be. Do what you need to do as quickly as you can so you can focus on what you actually want to do. That's what we mean when we say treat your life like it has seasons.
Traditions can get us caught in the trap of doing.
Have you ever felt like you were simply going through the motions? Like there wasn't much more to the holiday madness than a series of to-do lists that needed to be crossed out. Who says you need to cook a big fancy meal that takes all day? Who says you have to stay up all night to wrap presents? That voice in your head needs a volume control knob.
Make your own traditions all throughout the year.
Summer is the perfect time to celebrate your family and get together without the added pressures of needing to find authentic mistletoe to hang in the doorway. Next year Santa might want to come in the Fall before the weather gets so brisk and spend his December in Belize.
Share with us all the traditions you aren't going to do to make more time for the things you love.
