Talent should always be reflected in a brand, especially when it comes to creative photographers. We revamped the visual identity for this professional photography duo to show a more mature and seasoned style. It was important to elevate the logo to match the duo’s strength and class, enabling it for both social media platforms as well as traditional printed pieces. This elegant twist on the classic shutter icon merges the Jager & Kokemor brand seamlessly with the craft of photography.
Our challenge was to maintain the history and integrity of this 30-year-old leadership organization and give it a bold brand refresh in order to attract more attention and gain new members. We worked closely with the TEC Canada internal marketing team to create an entirely new visual identity, logo, colour palette and tagline to represent what they do best in order to gain a larger market share. As a result their year-over-year sales increased 11.25% in 2015 (Jan–Dec) compared to 2014 (Jan–Dec) and their membership increased by 13.5%, which is definitely a big step in the right direction.
Like showing two sides of a coin simultaneously, it can be tough to design a brand to be promoted equality toward multiple disciplines. Ruth Ratcliffe Esquestrian needed to be everything equine without being too English or too Western. We used the linking of two R-shapes to create an icon that could represent the perfect combination of warm, friendly and approachable, while also having the air of a typically unapproachable elitist.
After years using the same graphics, the new branding needed to capture the legacy of the Russell Homes brand by leveraging the company’s long history in the foothills community of Hinton, Alberta. Just as the mountains are a symbol of the area, so are the many neighbourhoods Russell Homes helped build up over the past four decades. This direction combines the imagery of mountains and rooftops to create a single fitting graphic that captures the longevity and quality of the Russell Homes brand.
Designing identities for residential developments can be tough. We needed to create something iconic for this new high-end rental property to help draw attention to potential tenants and investors. This Russell Homes initiative needed a visual identity that would fit the nature-loving mindset of the surrounding community and provide an easily recognizable icon that set it apart from the other developments. Our creative team provided both naming and branding assistance.
When accountants leave big firms to go out on their own it can be daunting to get started and position yourself to large corporate clients and smaller entrepreneurial run businesses. We needed to create an identity that spoke about the expertise and not the business size as this accountant and her team had all the expertise and abilities to sever clients of varying sizes. The name and the logo design hone in on the most important part of accounting, the numbers.
Say, "hello" to beard care. This brand really speaks for itself, which is exactly what we needed it to do. In the growing market of manly grooming products, it's more and more important to have shelf presence and standout from the competition. Next time you're on the hunt for beard-care products, we hope you choose the one with the bearded king.
